nine months!

Brooke turned nine months old today! I have not posted any photos in awhile, so here are some recent pictures. At her checkup today, we found out that she now weighs 20 pounds! No wonder my back is sore!! She is tapering off some on the growth chart, though, now she's only in the 75th percentile for weight. She had been in the 90s in the past!

We spent Labor Day weekend at my family's cabin in Grand Lake, here are some photos from the weekend and some other recent ones.

Ken decided to "pretend" to let Brooke try his hamburger, but she leaned forward, and I think she got a good taste of mustard! You can see her puzzled look after the taste in the second photo!

Brooke has started trying to hold her bottle herself, which is great...and so cute!

We decided to dip her feet in the lake to see how she liked the water. It was very cold, and she was not very happy!We tried again to take Brooke on the boat, this time she seemed to enjoy it more. We turned her around this time, and she enjoyed watching the boat's wake behind us. I think she looks so grown up in this picture!

Future waterskier?

Brooke has been learning to stand up, though she can't quite pull herself up yet. She loves standing up and holding on to this new toy that Grammie bought for her. She always looks so proud of herself when she's standing! She is getting really close to crawling, she sort of pulls herself along and pushes with her feet to get where she's going. I am sure she'll be mobile very soon.
