the past week or so...

On Sunday my neighbor had an easter egg hunt for the neighborhood kids. For anyone in Colorado Springs, you know that the weather on Sunday was horrible! I assumed that the hunt was canceled, but saw all of the dads out hiding eggs in the snow! Ha! They ended up having the little kids hunt indoors. It was quite funny to watch Brooke, she didn't understand that she was supposed to put the eggs into her bag, she was more interested in taking them out. Actually, her favorite activity was playing with the neighbor girl's play kitchen. So, I think we came home with a grand total of 6 eggs or something. Which is probably good, since Ken and I will most likely eat all of the candy inside!

Last weekend we went to a new pizza buffet/fun center near our house for dinner. The food was really not very good aside from the salad bar and garlic bread. And I had read that there was a little kids' play area, this only consisted of a few games and rides. Brooke had fun driving the Snoopy car, but was really not feeling well that night. She ate about 3 bites for dinner which is so unusual for her! I'm glad we tried the place out, but I think we'll wait and go back when she is 5 or 6...I think she'll enjoy it more.

Earlier this week, Ken took Brooke for a long walk down to Chick-Fil-A, and I drove down and met them for dinner (I know, I know, I'm lazy!) She loves playing in the play area there, I try not to go too often, but in the winter it is so nice to have a place go and play to get away from the cold!
