Hawaii!

We recently traveled to Hawaii with my parents...it was so much fun! The plane rides were not our favorite part of the trip...Brooke didn't sleep at all on the way there! We were lucky to get an extra seat on the plane so that she could sit in her car seat, but she needed a new form of entertainment about every 15 minutes. Whew! Luckily, on the way home she slept most of the flight! I tried to narrow down the pictures, but ended up putting quite a few on the site.

Brooke was very interested in the various bottles we had with us....at least for a few minutes!
Brooke's first experience walking on sand! My parents' time share in Kauai has a pool with a sandy beach and a zero-depth entry, so Brooke loved walking back and forth between the sand and the water. The pool was freezing the first few days, so I tried to entice her to play in the sand instead!
Hanging out by the pool, having a snack.
Our good family friends, the Walkers, were there, too. This is Brooke enjoying the pool and surroundings at their hotel.
This little kiddie pool was great for Brooke, she could walk all around it and even sit down. This photo was taken post-sunburn when we had to buy a long sleeved UV shirt for her to wear! Poor baby! I should have bought this to begin with!!
Playing on the rocks at the beach (there were tons of airplanes and helicopters flying overhead, and Brooke loved watching them.)
My parents' condo had this amazing wrap around deck with two doors. Brooke spent a good part of the trip running out one door, around the deck and in the other. She also had fun pushing her stroller around and climbing in and out of it. She was SO enamored with the water just outside the door. Every morning when she woke up, she'd say "water? water?" wanting to see if it was still there. Ever since we've been home she's been saying "water...bye bye". I think we may have a little beach lover on our hands!
The Walkers bought Brooke this adorable little hula outfit!! I think we'll have to do a bit of ab work if she has a future as a hula dancer!! I loved how curly her hair was while we were there, she'd wake up with little red ringlets!
Don't we look excited!? The sun was really bright and we tried to take a no-sunglasses shot! This was at a lighthouse outside Hanalei (the famous town from the Puff the Magic Dragon song). It was really beautiful!!
Sunrise! I had a hard time sleeping in with the time change, so most mornings I would take Brooke out early and try to get some shots of the sunrise. Some are from the balcony, and others from the resort property. It was absolutely beautiful!

We had such a great time, hopefully we can return again, maybe when the kids are a bit older!!
