slings
I'm in search of a good baby sling...Hailey wants to be held all the time which is tricky with a busy toddler around that also wants my attention! Does anyone have suggestions for good slings that you like? I have been looking at hotslings and peanut shell, but I would love to hear if anyone has a sling that they really like. My only requirement is that I want to buy it from Babies R Us because I have a gift card there. They have a ton of slings on their website, but only a few to actually try in the store. This makes it tough to choose! Thanks in advance for your input...

Hi Carrie:
Your new little one is beautiful! My friends all love the "MobyWrap" http://www.mobywrap.com/. I guess they've made them out of long pieces of fabric. Once they learn how to wrap them they say it's really easy on their back and there are a bunch of different ways to wrap . . . and would be snug for winter!

Ok, I don't know how handy you are feeling at this time. But my mother-in-law made a sling for me that cost under $20. I can't wait to use it.
Personally, I went with a baby carrier called the Ergo (http://www.ergobabycarrier.com/) that I was able to try on. Babies R Us doesn't carry tho :(
There IS a cool place in Colorado Springs where you can go to try on a bunch - http://www.babycottonbottoms.com/baby_slings.htm
I have used them as I investigate cloth diapers. Their customer service is amazing! Check them out and see if you can go try some on at their little place.
DH and I tried Moby Wrap. We didn't like it very much - but I think it would work really well with a wee one. It seems really snugly and comfortable, plus easy to use. We needed something that would fit BOTH our kids tho. Ergo seems to be a good fit.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions, I appreciate it! I should probably know this, but who is separateblogger? I don't remember seeing anyone with that blog address. :)
Thanks again!!
I look forward to hearing what you decide on since I've started thinking about baby gear, including a sling/carrier. I have a friend who HIGHLY recommends the Ergo carrier, but it is SO expensive... Also, did you get a double stroller?
