Merry Christmas!

I can't believe that Christmas is two days away. I feel like the past two months have been a blur as we've tried to adjust to life with a newborn during the busy holiday season. It has been tough because Hailey has had some major congestion and bloody noses since she was born that affect her eating and sleeping...which also affects my sleeping. Then two weeks ago she broke out in a horrible rash that is still there. Poor baby! It must be miserable!

Anyway, here we are two days away from Christmas, and I feel like it has really snuck up on me this year! I was somehow able to purchase and wrap all of my gifts. Thank goodness for online shopping. :)

Here are some photos of our events during this holiday season:

We were shopping at the mall last week and decided to have the girls visit Santa. He was sort of a strange Santa...no hat, no red furry coat, just a crazy shirt, suspenders, knickers and Birkenstocks!! Ha! Brooke was a little freaked out, but sat there long enough for a quick photo and was thrilled to get a candy cane afterward.
My attempt at getting a photo of the girls in their Christmas dresses...
I decided to have Brooke help me make Christmas cookies. I have always loved making and decorating sugar cookies and thought it would be fun to have her join in the tradition. She mostly helped by making a giant mess, but she had a lot of fun. Here she is smashing the shapes I'd already cut out!
Side note...I'm trying to figure out what to do with Brooke's hair. I really didn't want to cut bangs, but she won't keep the clips or rubber bands in her hair, and it ends up in her face all day long. (see below) It seems like bangs would look funny since her hair is curly. Maybe not. Anyone with little girls out there have a suggestion??
I ended up frosting and decorating the cookies really quickly to bring to a party, so she didn't get to help with that, and they are not very pretty. Oh well.
Brooke's favorite part...eating the blue star cookie!

Here is a video of Brooke singing "Jingle Bells", though "Ginga Balls" is more what it sounds like!
And here is "Jesus Loves Me" complete with Hailey crying in the background...
