Hailey is One!!

Hailey turned one on October 2nd. I can't believe it has already been a year since she was born. This year has flown by! I love the stage she is in right now, it is so fun to see her growing and changing every day.

We had a little cake for her on her actual birthday, and she wasn't too sure about it until she tasted it...

Brooke was thrilled that we got to have cake for Hailey's birthday! When we ask her what she wants for her birthday, she says "cake"!
We had a little party for Hailey at my parents' house with family and a couple of friends. It was so fun to have everyone see her and how much she is changing! She was a little overwhelmed by all of the attention. Brooke was thrilled, of course, to help Hailey open gifts, blow out candles, etc.

Hailey started crawling (finally!) just a few weeks before her first birthday. I was getting worried for a while that she was never going to move! Now she's crawling and cruising around the furniture. By this age Brooke was practically walking on her own, but I'm sure Hailey will catch up soon enough.

She has learned a lot of words, I think that she knows more words than Brooke did at this age. I think that her first word was "baby", though she also said something that resembled "brush" before that. She can also say ball, Jake (the dog), dada, mama, diaper, shoe, uh oh, hi, bye, paci (pacifier), no no... and maybe some others that I can't think of.

We are so thankful for our little girl! Brooke seems to be enjoying trying to play more often with Hailey, I am anxious to see how they play together as they grow up! Happy Birthday, Hailey!
