saving money...

OK, I have become a bit addicted to some blogs that have great deals for moms. I found the blogs when I started searching for Old Navy coupons on the Old Navy Weekly site. Each Thursday (usually) they update the site with new hidden coupons. When the site reloads at an undisclosed time, there is a mad dash to find the big coupons before they are gone. It is crazy. When I started doing this not very many people knew about it and they gave out lots of coupons. Now they are giving out fewer and fewer, and each week I sit in a chat room with over 200 other people to help each other find the coupon locations. I know, I know. I am one of THOSE people who waste tons of time to try and get a deal. But it has become addicting! Just a couple of weeks ago I scored two of the big coupons, $75 off of a $100 purchase!! My mom and I hit the Old Navy outlet and I ended up with 24 items for $28. The shirts I bought for my girls were $0.58 each!

Anyway, another great thing I found on this blog I read is called swagbucks. Basically, you get "paid" in these bucks to search online. You just install this toolbar in your regular browser (firefox, etc), and when you do your normal Google searches online, you randomly win these "bucks" that can be traded for real prizes, gift cards, etc. I just started doing this a few weeks ago, and already have 60 swagbucks built up. And it has just built up doing my normal searches online! You can also win bucks by buying things online, or by referring friends. (Hint, hint).

So, check it out!! If you click this link you will be able to sign up for swagbucks and try it out! Who knows if I'm actually SAVING money with all of the time I put into reading about these deals, but I think I've really scored some great bargains!! :)
