It's a girl!!

Most of you have probably already heard the news by now, but, if not, we are expecting a little girl...or a VERY clever little boy! Let's hope the ultrasound tech was right! We are thrilled to be able to plan for our little girl's arrival and to pick out names. We don't have a name picked out yet, but when we do we plan to keep it a secret until she's born.

Today we have reached 21 weeks of pregnancy! It still feels like we have forever until December, but we are excited about reaching the halfway mark! I think it will seem more real when we start seeing Christmas decorations in stores!!

Here is the parenting.com update for week 21:

Your baby now measures about seven inches from head to rump and weighs about 10 ½ ounces. Now that his digestive system is fairly sophisticated, your little one can swallow amniotic fluid, which makes for a surprisingly nutritious drink that helps fatten him up. The act of swallowing also preps his digestive system for the hard work it will do once he's born. He can taste what he ingests, thanks to taste buds that have developed on his tongue. Nerve cells are working overtime to make connections, and development continues its brisk pace for the five senses.
