23 Weeks...kicks & rumbles!

Here is the update for 23 weeks from parenting.com:
Your baby continues to put on weight, bringing her up to about a pound this week, although with her red, wrinkly, and loose skin she's far from the bonny baby she'll become. Crown to rump, she's eight inches long, and she makes the most of her space inside the womb, kicking back, stretching her arms, and trailing her hands along the umbilical cord. She can hear now and is especially sensitive to loud noises, which can startle her, making her heart thump and her arms flail. She much prefers soothing music or the faint sound of your voice.

In the past week or so, the baby's kicks have been getting harder. We have even been able to feel the kicks from the outside...it is fun to have Ken be able to feel our little girl moving! A few times I have even seen my shirt move as she has kicked. She is definitely more active at night, probably because I'm finally slowing down for the day.

We have our next OB appointment next Tuesday, and I'm anxious to hear the heartbeat again and find out how much weight I've gained...YAY! (haha!) The water aerobics class is still going well and making me feel better. I've also had a couple of massages from a maternity massage therapist!! Both these things have really helped to relax my muscles and offset all of the hours I sit working at the computer!
