Week 24

How your baby's growing (from babycenter.com): Your baby's growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long, that makes a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon put on more baby fat. Your baby's skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds are developing. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" and cells that produce surfactant, a substance that helps the air sacs inflate easily.

The baby looks a little freaky in this 24-week photo, but hopefully she'll have shed the white hair before she's born! :)

Only three more weeks left in the second trimester! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. We are now in the sixth month of the pregnancy. I'm enjoying the (hopefully not temporary) cooler weather, it really helps me feel better! I don't feel so huge when it isn't so hot out! I realized that my last belly photos were at 20 weeks which was about a month ago, so I'll try to post some new ones this week.
