Trip #2-4th of July-Grand Lake

Ken had to work on 4th of July weekend, so Brooke and I joined my family at their cabin in Grand Lake for the weekend. It was a great time! We rode around on the boat (Brooke's favorite thing!), ate lots of yummy food, rested and played in the water.

Here is Brooke eating corn-on-the-cob. She LOVES it and it keeps her occupied for a long time!

Grandpa was brave and took Brooke to the little lake beach. The water in Grand Lake is FREEZING cold, but this never seems to bother Brooke, she is such a water-lover. Grandpa was cold, though, so this didn't last very long!


The fireworks on the 4th didn't start until 9:45, so I stayed back at the cabin with my mom to put Brooke to bed and we watched them from the back deck. My dad took everyone else out on the boat to watch the fireworks over the lake. This is such a fun memory...we watched fireworks from our boat for years up here at the cabin growing up. I was sad to miss that, but glad that we were able to at least see them! What a great weekend.
