36 weeks!

Wow, I can't believe that I am already 4 weeks away from my due date! The time has flown by. I am so excited to meet this little girl, but a bit overwhelmed by all that I have to do before she comes! I am very ready, however, to be finished with this pregnancy. I feel huge and very uncomfortable.

We learned a few weeks ago that the baby is transverse (sideways). If she doesn't turn head-down by my appointment this next week, my doctor will try a version where she will attempt to turn the baby from the outside. I am nervous about this procedure because of possible complications, or the fact that it may induce labor.

My sister's wedding is on Sept. 28, and I will be SO, SO sad if I have to miss her wedding due to being in labor or in the hospital! There is definitely nothing I can do about this, but we're praying that baby girl will turn on her own so that we can avoid this procedure which is supposed to be fairly uncomfortable, too.

Here is a lovely illustration of the ECV where the doctor turns the baby. Doesn't it look pleasant?

On a more positive note, I am working hard on Brooke's new room and am so excited to get it done. We are moving Brooke into a new bedroom so that the new baby can move into the nursery. Brooke's new room is light purple, and I found a cute quilt that is purple, green and blue that will go on the white trundle bed that was my sister's growing up. I will post photos of the new room(s) when I get them finished. It is nice to have something else to think about when I'm emotionally overwhelmed with the "what ifs" of this baby's arrival!
