Labor Day Weekend

We had a busy and fun Labor Day weekend, though our "weekend" was from Wednesday-Saturday as Ken had to work on Sunday and Monday. We went to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox game on Wednesday night. Ken is anxious for Brooke to embrace his love of baseball, but she was more interested in our empty water bottles, running up and down the bleachers and talking to anyone who would listen! Oh well, maybe next summer she'll be more interested.
On Thursday we went up to Grand Lake to spend a few days with my family at my parents' cabin. The weather was beautiful and not too hot (yay!). We tried to take the boat out on the lake, but the starter was broken, so we had to pull it back out of the water. Bummer. We spent a lot of time hanging out by the boat dock, Brooke enjoyed riding on daddy's shoulders and walking in and out of the water on the boat ramp.

We decided to take Brooke to the little "beach" on the other side of the lake to play. The water was freezing, but she didn't seem to care, she had fun wading in and out of the water.
Here you can see my big pregnant belly sticking out!
Hanging out on the cabin deck in the hammock...
We had fun in the town of Grand Lake playing at the park. Brooke spent the entire time running back and forth along this bridge!

We ended the weekend with a trip to VillaSport to swim. I have not been working there this past month, I decided to take a month off because I was sort of burned out and feeling really tired. It was fun to be back there and NOT be working. Brooke LOVED the water, she is a little fish. The weather was warm enough not to freeze in the cold water! I am deciding whether or not I will work any more before the baby is born. I probably have enough design projects and projects to get ready for the new baby to keep me busy!
